What a Home Inspection Is
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual evaluation of a property’s major systems and components at the time of the inspection. The goal is to identify observable conditions and provide a clear, usable understanding of the property’s current condition.
What Is Typically Inspected
Inspections generally include the structure, roof, exterior, plumbing, electrical systems, heating and cooling, interior components, insulation, and ventilation.
Limitations of an Inspection
Inspections are limited to what is visible and accessible at the time of the inspection. Concealed conditions, future performance, and changes that occur after the inspection are outside the scope. No inspection can eliminate all risk, but a thorough inspection significantly reduces uncertainty by identifying observable conditions.
Additional Services
Certain evaluations, such as mold inspections, sewer scopes, pool inspections, and environmental testing, fall outside a standard inspection and may be provided as additional services.
